The data desk

The figures short-term-rental news keeps returning to, kept in one place: what the platforms report, what they charge, the taxes and night limits cities set, how many homes are registered, and how occupancy and rates are measured. Every figure is taken from the company, government or researcher that published it, written as they wrote it and linked at the foot of the page. The desk adds no figures of its own.

22 of the tables can be downloaded as CSV files; the link is under each table. They were compiled by Booked News and may be reused with credit and a link (CC BY 4.0). The figures themselves belong to the bodies that published them, named in each table's sources.
